Nació en Estambul en 1931. En l984 se jubiló en la Compañía Petrolera Mobil donde trabajó 27 años como Secretaria del Director del departamento Financiero-Contable. Comenzó a aprender el marmoleado en 1988 con el fallecido Nusret Hepgül, siendo su estudiante durante siete meses. Es marmoleadora profesional desde l989. Sus trabajos han sido expuestos en 3 muestras individuales y 50 colectivas entre ellas la quinta Exposición Nacional de Artes Tradicionales turcas, y el cuarto encuentro internacional de marmoleadores. Un artículo sobre su obra apareció en la revista estadounidense Ink&Gall (Hiel y Tinta), en el volumen VII, 1;  la UNICEF imprimió uno de sus trabajos en 2000. Las obras de la Sra. Almaleh se encuentran en colecciones de todo el mundo, como el Museo Urumchi, en China y la Biblioteca Newberry, en Chicago.

She was born in Istanbul in 1931.  In l984 she retired from the Mobil Oil Company where she worked 27 years as the Secretary to the Accounting and Finance Director.  She started to learn Marbling in 1988 with the late Nusret Hepgül and continued to be his student for seven months.  She has been a professional marbler since l989.  Her works were displayed in three single and 50 collective exhibitions among them the juried 5th National Turkish Traditional Arts Exhibition and the 4th International Marblers' Gathering.  An article about her work appeared in the Ink and Gall Journal (VII, 1) and UNICEF printed one of her works in 2000.  You can find Ms. Almaleh's work in collections worlwide, including the Urumchi Museum, China and the Newberry Library.
